Love to see your work all at once. so many goodies! To answer your question about waking up in the dark - as someone who has a very challenging time in December and January with seasonal affective disorder, I have a couple suggestions. The first is to purchase gold or amber light bulb. These mimic sunset and sunrise and help your body get attuned to its own circadian rhythm. You don't have to buy a fancy $40 one go to the hardware store and you'll likely find something there.
Secondly I highly suggest starting your day with grounding foods. I love savoury, so I go for roasted root vegetables (carrots potato, parsnips and the like) or nuts and seeds with yogurt. If you need something sweet you could always do yogurt with some honey and blueberries or some version of oat. This gets your body hydrated, your energy and blood begin to flow and it helps you not be focused on the lack of light.
I hope this helps and that you are feeling a little bit more at ease with for longer nights

Your art style is charming! I like the textures and storybook feel.
And that pink photo of Iceland is gorgeous.
